
Texas Woman Arrested After Hiding Razor Blades In Bread at Walmart Stores
A 33-year-old woman from Texas has been arrested after authorities say she hid razor blades inside loaves of bread and a muffin at two Walmart stores in Biloxi. Camille Benson was taken into custody on Tuesday, Dec. 16, following multiple reports from customers who found sharp objects in baked goods.
Police Detail Timeline of Incidents
According to Biloxi police, the first report came on Dec. 5 after a customer discovered a razor blade in bread purchased from a Walmart Supercenter. A second report was made on Dec. 8 when another razor blade was found in bread bought from a Walmart Neighborhood Market. After those complaints, store employees checked additional products and located more loaves containing razor blades.
“On December 15, 2025, the Biloxi Police Department responded to a retail location in the 2600 Block of CT Switzer Sr. Dr., Biloxi, MS, 39531 in response to patrons finding razor blades in loaves of bread that were displayed for sale located inside of the store,” police said. They added, “On the same date Biloxi Police Officers also responded to the 2000 Block of Pass Rd. for the same complaint.”
Investigation and Arrest
Lt. Candace Young said the discoveries were made at a Walmart Supercenter and a Walmart Neighborhood Market. Police identified a suspect after reviewing surveillance video. WLOX reports footage showed Benson leaving the store carrying a white bag.
“On December 16, 2025, the Biloxi Police Department was given information that the suspect had been seen on the 1000 block of Division St,” police said. “Officers were able to locate and take into custody 33-year-old female Camille Benson, from the State of Texas. Benson was charged with Attempted Mayhem, and Justice Court Judge Albert Fountain set bond at $100,000.”
Benson is being held at the Harrison County Adult Detention Center.
Public Warning and Walmart Response
Police urged anyone who purchased bread from Walmart stores in Biloxi to inspect the products carefully and contact authorities if sharp objects are found.
In a statement, Walmart said, "The health and safety of our customers is always a top priority. We have removed and thoroughly inspected all potentially affected products at impacted stores in Biloxi. We appreciate law enforcement for their swift action and will continue cooperating with them as they investigate."
